CivicRADAR in the Community
Since elements of CivicRADAR are available
to the public via the Internet, citizens can check the resolution
status of service requests they have initiated, thereby reducing
staff time not only in the collection of these requests, but also
in follow-up calls and information gathering.
Much like courier services that allow
senders to check the status of their packages online, CivicRADAR
will be available for this service 24 hours a day, seven days a
week. Additionally, CivicRADAR also allows municipal governments
the opportunity to actively and passively solicit feedback from
residents.
Through its survey mechanisms, governments
will receive a cost-free tool to gauge the feelings of constituencies
on a limitless number of topics.
CivicRADAR is currently being developed
for a number of communities in Connecticut. Working with these pilot
communities, the project team continues to shape the program into
a more efficient, and useful tool which can integrate into existing
information systems. You can read more about the participating communities
using these links: Weston, CT :: Wethersfield,

The feedback from the participants
has greatly benefited the overall design of the project and improved
its usability for all parties.
If you would like to learn more about
which communities are participating in the project, contact the
project manager, or your local municipal government planners.
